The only people who can change the world are PEOPLE WHO WANT TO.And not everybody does.– Hugh Macleod
When youth drop out of school it limits their potential, opportunities, and hope. Not only do we fail to cultivate the potential of thousands of youth each year, but local communities also suffer from lost wages and taxes along with increased costs for healthcare, welfare, and crime. In fact, those who drop out of school make up nearly half of all heads of households on welfare and nearly half of the prison population. By intervening today, CYC and its partnering organizations create pathways towards self-sufficiency and higher levels of community engagement.
By combining local data analysis with national research, CYC partners with school districts to identify strengths and gaps in an effort to better serve each unique student. This capacity building approach, combined with our direct service delivery, brings a new perspective to our Colorado schools.
