Join the MVP Society and Support our Most Vulnerable Students
CYC works to lessen the achievement gap across all school districts for youth who experience disproportionate barriers to their education because they are experiencing homelessness, identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning (LGBTQ), are pregnant or parenting, or are involved in the court or foster care system. Over the years, it has become evident – through data analysis and information gathered from schools and CYC staff – that vulnerable student populations experience higher dropout rates than their peers. Through these additional services, CYC staff reengage youth with appropriate resources to help them navigate the school system while giving them the tools to make informed choices and become their own best advocate.
Making a pledge of $1000 or recurring gift of $84/month for one year will make you eligible for membership in the CYC Most Vulnerable Populations (MVP) Society. As an additional incentive, CYC donors Dr. John McGovern and Brad Yoshimitsu are matching new and increased gifts to the MVP Society.
As a member of the MVP Society, you will receive the following:
- Recognition as a CYC MVP
- Special MVP updates on the impact of your donation
- Exclusive invitation to two MVP events each year (next event: November 29 at Briar Common)
